The wise men's story demonstrates centuries of faithful discipleship bearing fruit. Daniel taught the Magi. They passed down prophecies through generations. Finally, they worshiped Jesus. Now the question comes to you: are you engaged in discipleship? Are you in the Word and in a group? Christianity isn't a solitary faith we need each other to grow strong in the Lord. As we enter a new year, commit to getting in God's Word daily and connecting with other believers regularly. Let Jesus have His way through discipleship. The difference between where you are and where you want to be spiritually is discipleship.

Reflection:

Will you take the journey?

But before they gave their wealth, they gave their worship—falling on their knees before a peasant child. God wants your heart before your gifts. True discipleship produces both worship and generosity, flowing from hearts transformed by Christ. What are you withholding from Jesus? Your time? Resources? Dreams? Ambitions? But God revealed that truth isn't found in systems it's found in a Savior. When the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, heaven touched earth in the most intimate way possible. Jesus didn't just visit; He moved into the neighborhood. He experienced hunger, thirst, joy, and sorrow. Today, reflect on this: the God who holds the universe together chose to experience your humanity so you could experience His divinity.

Reflection:

How does knowing that Jesus experienced human emotions and struggles change the way you approach Him in prayer?

In a world that casually approaches the divine, we need fresh glimpses of God's transcendent glory. His holiness reminds us that our crises don't constitute emergencies in heaven He remains sovereign on His throne. Today, pause and consider, How does understanding God's holiness change how you approach Him? When we grasp His perfection, gratitude replaces entitlement, and worship becomes our natural response. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

Reflection:

Spend time in silence, acknowledging God's holiness. Confess any casual attitudes toward Him.
