Serving the Right King
READ: Matthew 2:1-12
Devotional:
The wise men traveled hundreds of miles not seeking political favor or economic gain, but to worship the true King. In stark contrast to Herod's paranoid, self-serving reign, Jesus came humbly born in a feeding trough, not a palace. Today, examine what competes for the throne of your heart. Is it politics, money, reputation, or comfort? True discipleship begins when we recognize Jesus as our only King. Like the Magi, we must be willing to journey far, risk much, and humble ourselves before Him. This Christmas season, surrender every competing kingdom in your life. Jesus doesn't want a portion of your allegiance He deserves all of it.
