Cherishing What Matters Most

READ: Philippians 3:7-11; Luke 10:38-42

Devotional:

Christmas easily becomes about everything except Jesus the lights, gifts, traditions, and busyness. But the true meaning of Christmas is that God came to rescue us. Jesus is the greatest gift, and He deserves to be cherished above all else. To cherish means to hold dear, to treasure, to prioritize. Paul said he counted everything as loss compared to knowing Christ. Mary chose to sit at Jesus' feet while Martha worried about preparations. What are you cherishing this Christmas? Is Jesus your greatest treasure, or have traditions and expectations taken His place? Today, recommit to making Jesus central not just during Christmas, but every single day. Let wonder and amazement fill your heart as you consider what God has done.

Reflection:

What distractions have stolen your focus from Jesus? What practical step will you take today to re-center your life on Him?
