Devotional:

Jesus endured the cross "for the joy set before Him" He kept His eyes on eternal glory. The missionary who lived with only a table and chairs understood this truth: we're just passing through. Everything we cannot keep should be given to gain what we cannot lose. This Christmas, surrounded by temporary pleasures and material abundance, it's easy to lose perspective. But light momentary affliction cannot compare to eternal weight of glory. The rewards of heaven seeing Jesus face to face, hearing "well done," witnessing lives transformed through your faithfulness far outweigh any earthly comfort. Keep your head. Fix your eyes on Jesus. Live as a stranger and alien, investing in what lasts forever.
