A Helpless Generation
READ: Isaiah 6:5; John 3:16-17; Matthew 9:35-38
Devotional:
Isaiah lived among "a people of unclean lips" a broken, helpless generation. Sound familiar? We're surrounded by brokenness, division, and hopelessness. But here's the crucial truth: God's heart breaks for the lost. He doesn't hate the world; He loves it so much He gave His Son. When we truly encounter God's holiness and experience His forgiveness, He gives us His heart for others. The two go hand in hand. We can't celebrate salvation inside the church while ignoring those drowning in despair outside. Jesus looked at the crowds and had compassion they were like sheep without a shepherd. Who in your life needs hope? That coworker, neighbor, family member, or classmate? If you don't tell them, who will?
Reflection:
Write down three people God has placed in your life who need to hear about Jesus. Commit to pray for them daily.
