The Holiness of God
READ: Isaiah 6:1-4; 1 John 1:5-7
Devotional:
When Isaiah encountered God's throne room, his first response wasn't comfort it was awe. The seraphim cried "Holy, holy, holy," revealing God's complete otherness, His absolute purity. This holiness isn't meant to drive us away but to draw us into reverence. In a world that casually approaches the divine, we need fresh glimpses of God's transcendent glory. His holiness reminds us that our crises don't constitute emergencies in heaven He remains sovereign on His throne. Today, pause and consider, How does understanding God's holiness change how you approach Him? When we grasp His perfection, gratitude replaces entitlement, and worship becomes our natural response. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.
Reflection:
Spend time in silence, acknowledging God's holiness. Confess any casual attitudes toward Him.
