From the Pit to the Palace
Psalm 40:1-3
I waited patiently for the Lord,
and he turned to me and heard my cry for help.
2 He brought me up from a desolate pit,
out of the muddy clay,
and set my feet on a rock,
making my steps secure.
3 He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and they will trust in the Lord.
James 1:2-4
2 Consider it a great joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you experience various trials, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing.

Devotional:
God specializes in rewriting stories. Joseph went from prison to palace, from forgotten convict to Pharaoh's right hand only God could orchestrate such a turnaround. Your current circumstances aren't your final destination. God is working even in the waiting, even in the wilderness, even in the injustice. The anointing on Joseph's life sustained him through slavery and imprisonment because he maintained the right attitude and focus on God. Your breakthrough may be closer than you think. Keep serving, keep believing, keep using your gifts even in difficulty. God is positioning you for purpose. The pit is preparation for the palace.
Reflection Question:
How can you maintain a godly attitude and continue serving others even in your current difficult circumstances?
