Living with Eternal Purpose
Philippians 3:12-14
12 Not that I have already reached the goal or am already perfect, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, 14 I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.

Paul's words in Philippians 3 echo this, showing us how to press on toward our heavenly calling. What "Egypts" or past identities are you tempted to return to? How can you more fully embrace your identity in Christ? Today, take time to write down who God says you are based on Scripture. Let these truths shape your goals and priorities. Ask God to help you "forget what is behind" and strain toward what is ahead, living each day with eternal purpose.
