Love in Action
Romans 12:9-13
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Detest evil; cling to what is good. 10 Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Take the lead in honoring one another. 11 Do not lack diligence in zeal; be fervent in the Spirit; serve the Lord. 12 Rejoice in hope; be patient in affliction; be persistent in prayer. 13 Share with the saints in their needs; pursue hospitality.
1 John 3:16-18
16 This is how we have come to know love: He laid down his life for us. We should also lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. 17 If anyone has this world’s goods and sees a fellow believer in need but withholds compassion from him—how does God’s love reside in him? 18 Little children, let us not love in word or speech, but in action and in truth.

Paul gives us a beautiful picture of what love looks like in action within the church community. It's sincere, devoted, honoring others above ourselves. This love isn't just a feeling, but a series of actions - sharing with those in need, practicing hospitality, rejoicing and mourning together. Today, challenge yourself to put love into action. Is there someone in your church family going through a difficult time? How can you practically show them Christ's love? Remember, as we love one another, we reflect God's love to a watching world. Our unity and love for one another is a powerful testimony to the transforming power of the gospel.
